Napoleon pastry s French name is mille-feuille, meaning thousand sheets. Bakers layer puff pastry and cream to create this taste of delight. The top layer is sprinkled with cocoa, pastry crumbs or sliced almonds to add a slight crunch. Finally, the top of the pastry is decorated to create a beautiful work of food art.
