- Plant outdoors in full sun and rich soil two weeks after last spring frost. Germinates poorly in soil temperatures below 70°F. Water consistently and feed monthly with a side dressing of compost or vegetable fertilizer.

Lake Valley- Squash, (Summer) Black Beauty
An early maturing zucchini type squash with delicious deep green fruits and creamy white flesh. Very easy to grow and productive all season long. Freezes well. It won an All America Selections award in 1957.
