- Plant in early spring and fall in full sun to part shade. Make a shallow trench about 1/2³ deep. Place seed tape in trench and cover firmly with soil. Keep soil evenly moist for best growth. If overwintering, apply organic mulch to the base of the plant.
- Harvest when leaves are young and tender by pulling the entire plant, or by snipping leaves from outside the rosette.
Lake Valley- Spinach, Giant Winter
An exceptionally cold hardy, savory spinach with glossy, green leaves. High yield Winter Giant is best planted in fall and can overwinter if mulched or grown under a row cover. Leaves are sweetest when grown in cold temperatures.
