- Plant outdoors in full sun in well-drained, limey soil. Sow anytime in warm climates, or midspring in cold areas. Start indoors six weeks prior to planting. Seeds are slow to germinate.
- Plant may not bloom until the second year. For drying, cut flower stems just as the bottom flowers begin to open, and hang to dry in the shade.
