- Prefers fertile soil and regular moisture. Sow outdoors in late spring after soil is completely warm (at least 65° F). For best pollination and well-filled ears, plant in blocks of at least four rows.
- Ears are ready to pick when the husks begin to dry in the fall, although they can be left on the stalk until after the first frosts.
