- Plant in late spring after soil has warmed in full sun and rich, well-drained soil. Optimal soil temperature for germination is 70-85°F. Young plants are very frost sensitive.

Lake Valley- Soybean, Edamame
This soybean grows to a height of 2 to 3 ft with a multitude of plump, fuzzy pods. Each pod will yield three to four beans, which may be cooked like peas after shelling or boil whole pods in salted water for 5 min for a shell-it-yourself snack. Rich in protein and calcium plus vitamins A and B.
