- Peas like cool weather and regular moisture. Plant in early to late spring, or late summer for fall crops, in average soil and full sun. Wando will tolerate a light frost as well as warmer early summer days. Coat seeds with an inoculant prior to planting to encourage better yield.

Lake Valley- Pea, Wando (Bush)
Wando is noted for reliable production even under hot and dry conditions, making it a good choice for late season plantings. Produces dark green pods with eight to nine peas per pod, and a short vine that does not require a trellis.
