- Plant in rich, well-drained soil in full sun after last spring frost, when soil has warmed to at least 65°F. Start indoors three to four weeks before last spring frost date, and transplant carefully as roots are fragile. Water consistently. Pick fruits regularly for best production.
- Armenian cucumbers taste best when harvested at 12-18³ long. Trellis for best-shaped fruits.
Lake Valley- Cucumber, Armenian
Long, slender fruits with a distinctive pale green color and ridged skin that make for decorative slices. This prolific vine, related to cucumber but actually a melon, sets sweet, crunchy fruit right up until frost.
