- Crimson clover grows best in cool weather and planted in spring or fall. Direct sow outdoors after all danger of frost in spring for a summer annual, or 6 to 8 weeks before first fall frost for a winter annual. Plant in sun or partial shade in average, well-draining soil. Can overwinter in zones 6 and warmer.
- Flowers can be harvested and used fresh or dried to make a delicious tea.
