- Sow outdoors in very early spring. Carrots prefer a loose soil amended with plenty of organic matter. Make a shallow trench about 1/4³ deep. Place seed tape in trench and cover firmly with soil. Keep soil evenly moist for best growth.
- Carefully loosed soil with a garden fork before harvesting. For best flavor, harvest when carrots are 6³-7³ long. Cut back green tops to 1/2³-1³ and shake off any soil before storing.
