  • Plant in well-drained, average soil in late spring. Optimal soil temperature for germination is 75-95°F. Beans do not tolerate frost. Bush beans sometimes form tendrils similar to pole beans. You can snip them off without harming the plant.
  • Pick pods when young and tender. Harvest early and often to increase yields.

Greencrop provides a long-lasting harvest of large, flavorful, dark green beans that can grow up to 8? long and 1/2? wide. Delicious fresh, and keeps well canned and frozen. It won an All America Selections award in 1957.
