- Plant outdoors in early spring in a location with full sun to part shade and average, well-drained soil. Start indoors three to four weeks earlier for transplants. Keep soil evenly moist while plants are young. In mild climates, sow in fall for winter bloom.
- Cut plant back by one half when initial blossoms fade to encourage another set of flowers.

Rosie O’Day’s rose-pink blossoms have a sweet fragrance and appear in only six weeks after planting. This is a popular and very easy to grow annual, perfect for borders, between patio stones, and in hanging baskets. It won an All America Selections award in 1961.
