- Start cabbage indoors four to six weeks before last frost date. Transplant in early spring after all danger of frost. Cabbage is shallow-rooted and needs a rich soil and even moisture for best growth.

Lake Valley- Cabbage Red Acre Organic
Solid round heads average two to four pounds with a deep-red color. Perfect for dressing up salads, slaws and relish trays. You can also steam or stir-fry this colorful vegetable. Red Acre is an early variety for summer harvest.
