Biocomposites- 4'x4' Hydroponic Mat
The fibers of the industrial hemp plant are currently a byproduct in the farming industry. Hemp seeds are harvested and the remaining plant fibers are unused, often burned on the field. Hemp fibers are an incredibly resilient fiber similar to composition to coco coir but with a neutral ph. At BioComposites Group we want to put money back in the farmer's pocket and to be able to create a product from grower for growers makes sense to us. We use a needle punching technique to intertwine the hemp fibers together to avoid using binder, glues or other synthetic material.
