- Peas like cool weather and regular moisture. Plant in early to late spring, or late summer for fall crops, in average soil and full sun. Will tolerate light frost.
- Pick pods regularly, as soon as they fill out.
Lake Valley- Pea, Frosty (Bush)
Unlike other shelling peas, Frosty will sprout when the soil is only 50°F. Sturdy bush plants produce 4? double pods, each containing seven to eight peas. A good choice for cooler climates. Freezes well. Resistant to fusarium wilt and yellow bean mosaic virus.
