Aglaonema, commonly called Chinese Evergreen, is a stylish and low-maintenance houseplant known for its striking variegated leaves in shades of silver, green, pink, or red.
Adaptable and forgiving, it’s ideal for beginners or low-light spaces.

Light
Tolerates low to medium light. Variegated or red varieties prefer bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight—it can scorch leaves.
Watering
Water when the top 1–2" of soil are dry. Keep soil lightly moist, but not soggy. Reduce watering in winter.
Humidity
Prefers moderate humidity. Adapts well to typical indoor conditions. Brown tips may improve with added humidity or pebble tray.
Temperature
Ideal range: 65–80°F (18–27°C). Keep away from drafts and cold below 60°F.
Soil
Use a well-draining, peat-based potting mix. Add perlite for extra aeration.
Fertilizing
Feed every 4–6 weeks in spring and summer. Use a balanced, diluted liquid fertilizer. No feeding needed in fall or winter.
Repotting
Repot every 2–3 years or when rootbound. Spring is the best time to repot.
Pruning & Cleaning
Remove yellow or dead leaves at the base. Wipe leaves regularly to remove dust and enhance shine.
Pet Safety
Toxic to cats and dogs if ingested. Can cause mouth irritation, vomiting, or drooling.
